This Privacy Policy explains how Airo ("Airo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, use our mobile applications, or otherwise interact with our on-demand local services marketplace (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
Information you provide
- Account details such as your name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Profile information, including a photo, service area, and (for providers) business name, services offered, and pricing.
- Booking details, including service requests, appointment times, and addresses needed to complete a job.
- Payment information, processed by our third-party payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
- Communications you send us, including contact form submissions, support requests, and messages exchanged with providers or customers through the platform.
Information collected automatically
- Device information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Usage data, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps.
- Approximate or precise location data, where permitted, to match customers with nearby providers and enable job tracking.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 7 below.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from background-check providers (for provider onboarding), payment processors, analytics providers, and publicly available sources.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage accounts, and to provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- To match customers with service providers and facilitate bookings, payments, and payouts.
- To communicate with you, including sending booking confirmations, receipts, and support responses.
- To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
- To improve, personalize, and develop new features for the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. How We Share Information
- Between customers and providers: to complete a booking, we share the information necessary for the job (such as name, contact details, and service address).
- Service providers (vendors): we share information with payment processors, hosting providers, email delivery services, analytics providers, and background-check vendors who perform services on our behalf.
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Airo, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to address your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- You may access, update, or delete certain account information from within the app or by contacting us.
- You may opt out of non-essential email communications using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
- You may disable location permissions in your device settings, which may limit certain features.
- Depending on your U.S. state of residence, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information — see Section 6 ("U.S. State Privacy Rights") below.
6. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Airo operates in the United States and this section describes rights available to residents of certain U.S. states under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and comparable laws in states including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know / Access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and the categories of sources, purposes, and third parties involved.
- Delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — Airo does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where we recognize an opt-out preference signal (such as Global Privacy Control), we honor it as a valid request under applicable law.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@airoondemand.com or through our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf as permitted by law.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as light/dark mode), and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
8. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through the Services or by email.
